PYP Unit 4 - Final Conclusions
Our Central Idea: All things within an ecosystem are interdependent upon each other.
As I reflect on all that we did in our unit, I have ask myself, did we answer the Central Idea? First, I must turn the central idea into a question.
My Central Idea Question: How might all things in an ecosystem depend upon each other?
My Central Idea Question: How might all things in an ecosystem depend upon each other?
To answer my question, I need to first define a habitat, ecosystem, and biome.
My definition of habitat:
This is a home of a population (a group of the same organisms) living in the same place. Example: honey bees all living in the same hive. |
My definition of ecosystem:
All living and non-living things in a small area that work together. There are different food chains and food webs within the ecosystem. Example: the honey bee hive is in the forest ecosystem. |
How do organisms depend on each other in these systems?
